The Lake District is a stunning place to visit any time of the year and is lucky enough to be gorgeous even in the (sometimes perpetual) rain. Our beautiful corner of the Lake District is home to a host of wildlife and has a character all of it’s own. This Journal tells of moments in time upon the Estate and will give you a seasonal view of the place we wish to share with you.

Groundworks have Begun! Planning never goes smoothly, you always feel you are banging your head against a brick wall and you will never get there. The repairs are all finished now, scaffolding just about to be removed. Old houses are lovely but they never seem to be finished, there’s always a little something else that needs fixing. However Home Farm was built in the nineteenth century and its still standing so I’m sure it will be there long after I’m… Read more »
Opening Up We are looking forward to 12 April and opening up again. It’s a trite remark that we hope nothing happens to put off this long awaited release from lockdown. Plus we have to remember there are lots of businesses that cannot re-open until later in the year. We have taken the opportunity to… Read more »
Looking Forward It’s been quite a year. 2020 will be remembered as a year like no other and unfortunately 2921 has not started any better. But there is definitely much to be positive about as the vaccine programmer rolls out and we should start coming out of lockdown in the not too distant. This Winter… Read more »
