Another 5 star rating for our luxury holiday let in the Lake District

We were so pleased to find out that Home Farm had received a 5 star rating, so we were a little nervous as to whether Lacet Cottage would do it too. You try your best to make sure that your holiday cottage is a home away from home, with lots of lovely added extras. The sort of place where you would love to stay yourself. However you can never be sure as although the inspector follows a checklist, there is still an element of subjectivity in any assessment. We think Lacet is a little gem because not just the house but the location is fabulous. Certainly the red squirrels seem to love visiting the garden, much to the delight of our guests. Mind you it might be something to do with bribery, they can never resist hazelnuts in their shells. Of course the inspector can’t be swayed by the presence of our lovely littl red friends, so thankfully she felt we had done enough inside the cottage to gain a 5 star.
