Seasonal Cycle

October 5, 2020

Mother Nature never fails to impress me. This last week I have been reminded of summer with some beautiful roses at Lacet Cottage.Last few roses of 2020

Then of course a storm arrived on Saturday and it rained and rained and then it rained some more. Chris has spent the last threeweeks or so fixing drains on the estate and Jack used an aerator to prick (not a technical term I know) the soil to aid absorption of water. Still there was an amount of surface run off On Saturday. Just a few more tweaks next year and I think it will be sorted.

Some people might not find it exciting in some respects seeing a drain repaired or watching the aerator going over the fields. But I find it satisfying seeing improvements being made. More drain repairs.

Three beautiful and lovingly restored cottages. Where heritage meets modern-day living.

Four contemporary cabins, immersed in nature. Where the outdoors meets luxury.

Passed down through generations, our family and history are at the heart of the approximately 300 acre Hutton John Estate.
